Hasan Morshed: Professional profile Md. Hasan Morshed has been working since 2008 as an assistant director in the Bangladesh media industry. He has completed a successful 15 years in the industry and has more to come. Hasan has created a significant impact in the media industry through his signature style in television dramas and brand campaigns.
His directorial debut came with the television drama called ‘Jorda Jamal’, which became popular among the audience and brought him the nomination for ‘The Best Director Award’ in the Meril-Prothom Alo Awards in 2013. The drama was also nominated in the ‘Best Drama’ category. The drama was aired on Bangladeshi TV station Maasranga Television.
The same year, he received the best director award for ‘Opur Opekkhae’ in the RTV Star Awards.
He started working in the advertisement industry relatively quickly by launching his own ad agency called “Film Factory.” Since 2015–2020, along with other 2nd and 3rd directors in the house, he has been the Chief Executive Director of this production house. However, in 2021, the agency got reformed with a new name, called ‘Urbo Films’.
In 2014, Hasan Morshed started making television commercials for both Bangladeshi and international brands, like USAID, ICC (International Cricket Council), LG, Johns Hopkins University, etc. He has created more than 200 successful ad campaigns for local and international brands.
In 2015, Hasam Morshed directed a health awareness commercial with the title “Language Matters” for the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The production was screened at the 68th Cannes Film Festival in 2015. He is married to Nadia Farhad Sheefa, and the beautiful couple has a 3-year-old son named Shehran Hasan Mansur.
While talking about his fifteen-year-long journey in the industry, Hasan said, “I have always tried to give my best. In the last fifteen years, I have never compromised with my standards or what I want to achieve. Audiences have loved and appreciated my work. Their constant support is my achievement.”
